- Singer, songwriter, producer from Ghana.. started late 60s / early 70s. Considered the godfather or hip hop.. also the James Brown of Ghana
- He's released 29 albums over the years.. the latest release being in 2015 "The African Soul"
- Recently started working with Jazz is Dead / Adrian Younge.
- He's collaborated with Miriam Makeba, Fela Kuti, Manu DeBango, George Howard, among others.
- He's a hugely influential artist and has received the following awards over the years.. lifetime achievement award, inducted into the music hall of fame, award from the state of california for bridging the gap between africa and african american music, SDTA awards
- The LA Weekly also nominated him as the "Best World Beat Recombinant Artist"
