Estrada do Sol performs música popular brasileira or MPB, which is a trend in post-bossanova urban popular music in Brazil that revisits typical styles such as samba, bossanova, baião and other regional music, combining them with outside influences such as jazz and pop. The core of the ensemble is husband-and-wife team, Brian Cashwell & Andrea Cefalo (piano and voice). The group is completed by a roster of other jazz and Brazilian artists. For the concert on October 9th, they will be joined by Carlos Vargas Ortiz (guitar), and Kiko Sebrian (drums).
