Reid Faylor is an independent author, performer, and artist. He is best known as the co-host of “The Story Must Be Told,” a surreal fiction podcast on the Last Podcast Network. Together with co-host Andrew, he’s written and recorded a new work of short fiction every other week since 2017. The AV Club praised, “Is it weird as all hell? Yep. But it’s also endlessly creative, something truly distinct.” 

Most recently, he began releasing his literary fiction novel Dead Bird Songs as a weekly audiobook on patreon. com/reidfaylor. He describes the book as, “The story of a consumer goods company driving a bird species to extinction.

Though he first began performing as a stand-up comedian—first in Cincinnati, then for a decade in NYC—he’s shed the more traditional approach and now takes audiences on strange journeys with a synthesizer, a short story, and a vocal delivery more akin to Iggy Pop than Ira Glass. He recently performed on the Joe Pera PERAS tour, and has appeared on the Science Channel as a chemistry expert because for some reason he’s also a scientist.
