He Sang, She Sang, Rob Hoffman and Jayne Sachs

We've been patiently waiting to put this one together. The art of a pair of the region’s most interesting and entertaining singer/songwriters opens the Sorg’s April calendar, Saturday, April 6 th at 7:30 p.m. The gritty and understated stylings of Rob Hoffman & the Influence take the stage first during this intimate Saturday evening show. Hoffman’s wry humor and the really great playing of this band offers a special set for fans of indi-art rock within the Sorg. Then we are really proud to host Jayne Sachs in a reunion of sorts with her superb band from Dayton. Sachs, now a staff songwriter for a Nashville firm, is an award winning author in the UK Songwriting Contest, the IAMA country categories and won the grand prize for pop in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. A veteran and superb indie alt pop performer, we are honored that she is getting her great band back together for this show. You would think these two great acts would be enough, but NO! We suspect they will share the stage in a little jam later in the evening. Intimate alt pop at its best and only at the Sorg!
