Billy Cage has been writing songs every since high school (1967), which is a long, long, long time. As a result, he has many compositions that span decades of musical influence. Much of this initial stimulus started during his early years (1957 – 1959) listening to Rock n’ Roll and continuing through the early surf scene in the 60’s, the British invasion, flower power, country rock and on into today’s contemporary pop and alternative music styles.
Cage says, “As a young kid I fell in love with musical ballads, listening to the Kingston Trio (26 Miles Across the Sea) and Elvis Presley’s (Love Me Tender). At 7 years of age I remember blasting the stereo in the living room, windows wide open and doing summersaults on the front lawn while acting out the Battle of New Orleans (Johnny Horton). Known for including Heavy Remixes of club and Hip Hop favorites, soulful Dub-step, and many amalgamations of other styles. Starting his career as a Hip Hop producer his musical creations were first originated in his home studio and he has lead in the production of many upcoming artists including but not limited to Alkatraz, MC Local, The Cincinnati Kid , MiC, and countless others.

His deep threaded Hip Hop influence has bred his own hybrid formulations and has him diving ever so deep to create mixes never heard and sound collaborations that are constantly drawing a continuos flow of Drum and Bass conisuers. Lumpsum is a staple when throwing around Drum and Bass/Hip Hop producer names in Cincinnati, and continues to evolve a unique voice in Drum and Bass music with his complexity and depth.

Greg began attending house parties, and events throughout the Midwest taking in the underground "rave" vibe as it was during that period in time. He began collecting vinyl from local shops, and so began his love with house music. Originally Inspired by hiphop
you can be sure to hear familiar tunes during his sets. After acquiring his first set of belt driven decks in 2000 he quickly began mixing while also keeping up with all the latest technology. Currently he has had many opportunities to DJ at events along both local, and regional artists alike. He is also currently helping to create diverse events in, and around Cincinnati as a part of UPALLNITE Productions. With a everlasting love for all music there is nothing that he is afraid to incorporate into one of his sets.
