Join us at the Historic Herzog Studio to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of "Train Kept A-Rollin'," which was cut right here in Cincinnati by Tiny Bradshaw for King Records in 1951. Live music performances will include legendary King Records and Tiny Bradshaw drummer Philip Paul, Third Man Records recording artist Olivia Jean (Nashville, TN), Amplified Heat (Austin, Tx) and All-Seeing Eyes (Dr. Johnny Walker, Matt Ayers and Kane Kitchen of Dayton, KY). Each set will include a nod to the legendary "Train Kept A-Rollin'" track and the evening will also serve as a release party for a limited edition 7" recorded by All-Seeing Eyes at Herzog, the first vinyl release to be issued by Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation, recorded live at Eli's BBQ Reds Opening Day Parade party at the Herzog space on 3/31/14. All net proceeds support non-profit Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation. Sponsored by Eli's BBQ, CityBeat, Shake It Records, CincyMusic.com, WNKU and Howler Hills Farm.
About Historic Herzog and Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation (CMHF)... The Cincinnati USA Music Heritage anchors itself in the Historic Herzog Studios space where Hank Williams Sr., Patti Page, Flatt & Scruggs, Bullmoose Jackson, and many early King Records, Radio Artists, and MGM records were made between 1945-1955. In 2009, CMHF led efforts to erect a historic marker to commemorate the space. Through donors like an Anonymous Fund at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and other supporters, CMHF labors to execute its mission to engage with the region’s music history and make new music for future historians. CMHF is a non-profit run by volunteers from the music community. CMHF’s Spiritual Godfather is Bootsy Collins who teaches us about keeping it On The One. CMHF's modern Historic Herzog era (12/22/08-Now) of recordings, performances, photos, and rehearsals includes Patti Smith, Margo Price, Philip Paul, Sufjan Stevens, Daniel Martin Moore, Napoleon Maddox, Selecta’s Choice, The Hiders, Lisa Walker, David Rhodes Brown and many more. Opportunities to sponsor and produce recordings from the CMHF Archive or for future shows available for aspiring record history makers will be offered.
